Le "Gand-Feu"

The Great fire "Grand-Feu" 2004 end of the winter, the King Winter on top of the pile is burnt on a huge fire place.
The wood pile is over 10 metres high and is lit in the evening, all villagers are present to witness the end of winter:

"Les pompiers", the fire brigade, is present at the scene to prevent accidents as the fire gets immensly hot:

King Winter is not yet burning, but his time has run out:

Now the end of the winter is a fact, spring can start its work now.
The heat of the fire is a simbol of the warmth of coming spring and summer.
